Professional Running Tracks
Details

A runner’s performance and safety start with the quality of the track. That’s why we deliver complete solutions for building professional running tracks using highly flexible rubber materials — EPDM and SBR — that absorb foot impact during running and protect athletes from injury.

This system applies only to dry asphalt or concrete surfaces, cured for at least 40 days and free from rising damp, dust, oils or other contaminants that could weaken adhesion. Performance and service life depend on proper surface preparation and correct application, to the highest technical standards.

Certified Systems for Running Track Construction

We offer 5 internationally certified polyurethane systems to suit different budgets and levels of use, from economical systems to premium Olympic-grade systems, all built to the highest technical standards, using suitable materials and certified application procedures for maximum quality and durability.

1- POLTRACK Sealed Spraycoat: The Economical System

An economical spray-applied system with a polyurethane primer and recycled rubber granules (1–4 mm), finished with a double EPDM layer for a uniform, slip-resistant surface. Ideal for mid-range budget projects:

  • A polyurethane primer, applied by spray or brush.
  • A mix of polyurethane and recycled rubber granules (1–4 mm), laid with a paving machine.
  • A flexible polyurethane layer to seal pores and gaps.
  • Two cross-applied layers of polyurethane and EPDM granules (0.5–1.5 mm), by spray.
  • Track line-marking with UV-resistant polyurethane paint.

2- POLTRACK Sandwich SBR 1-4mm: The Mid-Range Layered System

A two-layer system combining an SBR rubber base with a self-levelling polyurethane surface layer, finished with scattered EPDM granules (1–3.5 mm) to improve wear and slip resistance, striking an excellent balance between performance and cost.

  • A polyurethane primer, applied by spray or brush.
  • A mix of polyurethane and rubber granules (1–4 mm), laid with a paving machine.
  • A flexible polyurethane layer to seal pores.
  • A self-levelling, full-polyurethane coloured surface layer.
  • Scattered EPDM granules (1–3.5 mm) for wear and slip resistance.
  • Track line-marking with UV-resistant polyurethane paint.

3- POLTRACK Sandwich in Rolls: The Fast, Pre-Fabricated System

A system built on a ready-made shock-absorbing layer, in the form of pre-fabricated rubber rolls, cutting down installation time. It’s finished with a self-levelling surface layer and a final EPDM finish, suited to projects that need a quick turnaround.

  • Polyurethane adhesive to fix the shock-absorbing rolls in place.
  • A ready-made shock-absorbing layer of recycled rubber.
  • A coloured polyurethane sealing and insulation layer.
  • A self-levelling, full-polyurethane coloured surface layer.
  • Scattered EPDM granules (1–3.5 mm) for resistance and sporting performance.
  • Track line-marking with UV-resistant polyurethane paint.

4- POLTRACK Full PU: The Full, Premium System

A complete, multi-layer polyurethane system that combines specially formulated coloured PU coatings with scattered SBR and EPDM granules applied in successive stages, for greater durability, thickness and a more premium look. Suited to clubs and stadiums.

  • A polyurethane primer, applied by spray or brush.
  • A specially formulated coloured polyurethane coating.
  • Scattered SBR rubber granules (1–4 mm).
  • An additional layer of coloured polyurethane coating.
  • A second layer of scattered SBR granules.
  • The final layer of coloured polyurethane coating.
  • Scattered EPDM granules (1–3.5 mm) for the final finish.
  • Track line-marking with UV-resistant polyurethane paint.

5- POLTRACK Full PU EPDM: The Olympic System

The top tier of the range — a fully polyurethane system using EPDM granules only across all scattered layers, with no SBR, for maximum resistance to UV rays and weather conditions, and an Olympic-grade look that matches international championship specifications.

  • A polyurethane primer, applied by spray or brush.
  • A specially formulated coloured polyurethane coating.
  • Scattered EPDM granules (1–3.5 mm).
  • An additional layer of coloured polyurethane coating.
  • A second layer of scattered EPDM granules.
  • The final layer of coloured polyurethane coating.
  • Scattered EPDM granules for the final finish, with maximum weather resistance.
  • Track line-marking with UV-resistant polyurethane paint.
